The Listing Neighborhoods feature allows you to organize listings into smaller localities within a city. This helps users refine their searches based on specific areas.

Steps to Add a New Listing Neighborhood

  • Enter Neighborhood Details:

    • Name: Enter the neighborhood name (e.g., "Brooklyn," "Downtown").

    • Slug: Create a URL-friendly version (e.g., “brooklyn”). Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.

  • Assign a Parent Neighborhood (Optional):

    • If this neighborhood is part of a larger district or city, assign a parent category (e.g., "Brooklyn" under "New York City").

    • Choose None if this is a standalone neighborhood.

  • Add a Description (Optional):

    • Provide details about the neighborhood (e.g., key attractions, residential/business areas).

    • Some themes may display this information.

  • Upload Media (Optional):

    • Image: Used for "Taxonomy" shortcodes.

    • Icon Image: Displays in listing sections and maps.

    • Icon: Used for "Taxonomy" shortcodes and maps.

  • Customize Colors (Optional):

    • Icon Color: Defines the color for neighborhood icons.

    • Background Color: Sets the background color for neighborhood display.

    • Text Color: Changes text color for neighborhood names.

  • Add a Map Image (Optional):

    • If your theme supports map images, upload a custom image for better representation.

  • Click “Add New Listing Neighborhood” to Save.
