Importing Demo Content (XML)

If demo content is provided, follow these steps to import it:

Step 1: Download the Demo XML File

• Locate the XML file inside the theme or plugin package (e.g., demo-content.xml).

Step 2: Use the WordPress Import Tool

1. Navigate to Tools > Import in your WordPress dashboard.

2. Select WordPress Importer and click Install Now (if not already installed).

3. Click Run Importer.

Step 3: Upload & Import the XML File

1. Click Choose File and select the downloaded demo-content.xml file.

2. Click Upload file and import.

3. Assign demo content to an existing user or create a new one.

4. Check the box for Download and import file attachments to include images and media.

5. Click Submit and wait for the process to complete.

Step 4: Verify the Imported Data

• Navigate to Directory > Listings to ensure all demo listings are imported.

• Check pages, categories, and media to confirm successful import.

After completing the import, you can start customizing your directory with real data.
