# Archives

Navigate to **WordPress Dashboard → Directory → Settings → Archives** to configure the appearance and behavior of your **listing archive pages**.

### **Archive Customization Options**

### **1. Types**

* Select the **layout type** for listing archive pages.
* Choose from available predefined templates.

### **2. Gallery**

* Choose the **gallery type** for displaying images on the archive page.

### **3. Columns**

* Define how many **columns** will be used for displaying listings.
* Example: **1-column, 2-column, 3-column, or 4-column** layouts.

### **4. Apply Isotope**

* **Isotope filtering** dynamically arranges items on the page based on categories or filters.
* Check this option to enable it.

### **5. Excerpt Length**

* **Default:** `20`
* Set the **number of words** to display in the listing description (excerpt).

### **6. Feature Image or Icon**

* Choose whether to display a **featured image or an icon** for each listing.
* **Note:** This setting **does not apply** to **Type 7 & Type 10** archive layouts.

### **7. Features Include**

* Add feature IDs separated by commas (**0,1,2**).
* Maximum **4 features** can be displayed.
* **Note:** This setting **does not apply** to **Type 7 & Type 10** archive layouts.

### **8. Number of Categories to Display**

* Set the **number of categories** shown for each listing in archive pages.
* Applies to **all archive pages** in the directory.

### **Final Step**

✔ **Click "Save Settings"** to apply the changes.
